Places I Go (Part Two)

March 29 - I go to my room, my solace, where I can be as messy as I want to be, where I can read in silence, where I can blast music loudly, where I can think and dream, pray and work.

Places I Go (Part One)

March 28 - I go to church, and am reminded that the light of God shines like a beacon in the darkness.

How Deceiving

Here I thought that winter had said it's farewells, and yet, when I woke up this morning snow graced the landscape and although the sun was out all day and it looked warm, it didn't get above thirty degrees all day.

March 25

Gaah, cruddy picture, I didn't really have any time last night to get any better ones, but yeah, I went thrifting (I only say thrifting because it sounds way cooler than shopping) and bought a vintage skirt at an antique shop.

blaaah

Sickness has invaded my home. I'm trying to conquer it before it takes me down.

Distracted and Unfocused

March 23 - I could NOT focus at all on my studies, homework and the like, so instead I made little orange boats out of paper and floated them in my sink. I'd say it was a very productive day.

Rain, Rain

The Cross Before Me

March 21 - Last year three sisters from Ethiopia were adopted by a family in the church I go to. Since then, our church has kind of been turned upside down as there has been a passion placed in their dad's heart for the country of Ethiopia and it's people. This past February he led a trip of twelve people back to Ethiopia where they ministered to a variety of people in different settings. Their return has brought a kind of renewed passion for God as we all saw how He changed those who went there. Today the team presented their trip and experiences to the church. There was one person who felt the call to go back to Ethiopia on a long term basis. Seeing how she has answered that call and seeing how other people are becoming more and more willing to give up everything for the sake of Christ has been so refreshing and encouraging. The song "I have decided to follow Jesus" has become a kind of theme song for those who went on the trip and for me and probably others who have been touched by what happened there.

March 20

The sun was out today, and the brother came home, both of which made me very very happy.

A Day That I Forgot

March 19 - Well, I am ashamed to say, I forgot to take any pictures this day, so I borrowed one from a different day. This is a disco ball that I made last summer and when I look at it, it reminds me to reflect Jesus in all directions. Hopefully I did that as this was a Girls of Beauty day, so I pray that I did reflect Jesus to all the preteen girls that I spent the night with.

A Sunrise Above The Clouds

March 18 - Took this on my way home from FL. There's nothing like watching the sun come up over the clouds.

A Quick Trip And A Big Decision

March 17 - Well, I forgot to take any pictures of the campus because my memory is just awesome like that, but I did visit it, and I liked it. We also decided that since we were in Florida we might as well make a trip to the coast because we didn't have anything better to do, so here I am on our very short visit to the beach. Oh, and it was not that warm there, 60's maybe and it rained... My family seems to attract cold wet weather wherever we go. I figure we could solve all the drought problems in the world if we just went from one dry area to another.

The Return Of The Birdsongs

March 16 - The birds have returned and the sun was shining. T'was a beautiful start to a beautiful day - woke up in New York, went to sleep in Florida!

Mucho Entusiasmado

March 15 - Me, the night before heading to Florida to visit the college I think I tentatively have decided to attend.

Artwork On A Saturday Afternoon

So, today being my first real day of spring break, I decided to take some time to work on an art project I'd been wanting to finish. Three cheers for cutting up magazines like a third grader!!

March 12

Today I went through all our old photos and scanned them into my computer... it brought back such fond memories, as my brother aptly put put it "Oh for the days when building snow forts was most important". Now we're all grown up. Weird.

March 11

60 degrees, sunny, no pressing issues = a horse ride with my mum. Twas the first time I'd been able to go in a long time and was so refreshing. This was taken with my cell, so the quality may be iffy =/

My Birthday

I had the loveliest 18th birthday playing in the snow with some dear friends, two of whom we made into snowmen. Pretty rockin if I do say so myself.
